Funny Fake Video Store Commercials Video | Jimmy Kimmel & Matthew McConaughey

25 sec read

Believe it or not, there are still video stores out there in the wild, plying their trade. Blockbuster may have gone, but the small indie stores are just about managing to break even.

One such store is Vulcan Video, located in Austin, Texas. And to help them add a few customers, Jimmy Kimmel and Matthew McConaughey made some ads for the business.

These ads are cheesy as hell, but then that’s the whole point. They’re not meant to be taken seriously, but I suspect they’ll still get Vulcan Video some new customers.

Perhaps they’ll even manage to rent out a few of the VHS videos they still stock. Which is bonkers when you consider how cheap DVD players are these days.
