J.K. Rowling recently unveiled Pottermore, an online portal which expands the Harry Potter universe and welcomes everyone to it. One guy really isn’t happy about it all.
I can see where this guy is coming from. Pottermore isn’t anywhere near as exciting as it could be. More books or more films in the series, or the beginning of a whole new series, would have been better.
And there does seem to be a lot of throwaway lines about what Pottermore is going to be which don’t actually give too much away. But that is surely J.K. Rowling’s prerogative.
Pottermore is giving current fans a place to hang out, while also encouraging a new generation to get involved and buy all the books and movies. In other words it will make Rowling even richer than she already is.
