Jon Stweart believes most news stories on the news are about “Shit That’s Never Gonna Happen”. These stories are about scary “threats” to our way of life, not because they might come true, but because shock value keeps viewers interested.
How right you are Jon. The day they make the US adopt a one-world currency is the day they make unicorn porn illegal.
The best point Jon brings up in this video is the one about the metric system. As an American, it never really made sense to me why we have measurements that aren’t easily dividable by 10. I still blame feet and inches for all my horrible math grades.
As for the UN’s proposed law that would legally allow children the right to refuse spanking and religion, I feel a bit jealous that it was even considered. When I have kids, I plan on dragging them to Church. Not because I’m religious (quite the contrary), but simply to get some parental payback.
