One of the few positive consequences of Donald Trump being President of the United States of America is Saturday Night Live‘s return to form.
Trump’s administration is so ridiculous that it’s ripe for topical satire. Which is what SNL is now delivering in spades.
The highlight so far has been Melissa McCarthy’s portrayal of Sean Spicer, the White House Press Secretary. The guy is almost beyond parody, but not quite. Thankfully.
McCarthy does an excellent job capturing his angry, arrogant persona. Spicer acts as though it’s him vs. the world, when in actual fact the press are just trying to get to the truth.
