Stephen’s no Slim Shady, but he sure can hold his own on the mic. Unfortunately, his “grade-A slamburger” rap skills are no match for newly-elected Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele.
If this isn’t proof that hip hop is not dead, I don’t know what is.
Back in February, Stephen announced on his show that he had challenged Steele to a “frank discussion of core conservative principles in the form of freestyle rap.” Steele then later told Stephen to “bring it on” in an interview but never showed up.
Since Steele couldn’t attend, the behind the scenes crew of the Colbert Report took it upon themselves to edit a montage of hilarious political rhymes. And I must say, Stephen indeed “got da beat down.”
