It’s a shame that Mitch wasn’t just kidding. This is perhaps my favorite TV appearance of the late comedian- here the man was at his prime.
Mitch Hedberg will always go down in history as one of the most unique comedians. His delivery, unlike most comedians today, didn’t center around telling stories or depressing political bashings. For some reason, he was able to entertain enormous crowds with a bunch of one-liners.
In interviews, he admitted to having a stage fright- a fear he often remedied by wearing sunglasses and sometimes using drugs and/or alcohol before performances. During this video, you’ll notice him becoming less nervous as the audience warms up to him.
He may have passed away on March 29, 2005, but his unique style of comedy lives on.
