This sounds like the start of a joke, but I assure you it isn’t. What do you get when you cross a cheesy American gameshow called The Price Is Right, a gynecologist with the name Dr. Bummer, a bid of $69, and a glamorous assistant who just happens to be pregnant?
The answer is, of course, a funny YouTube clip. I thought The Price Is Right went off-air years ago, it certainly did in the UK, but no, Drew Carey hosts the current U.S. version – a horrible show presented by a horrible comedian (IMHO).
The only thing that would make the show tolerable would be to have a contestant called Michael Bummer who is a gynecologist, Et voila, it happens. Not only that but he then bids the naughty sum of $69 on a diamond pendant worn by… a pregnant assistant!
You really couldn’t make it up. However, Carey’s reaction to the 69 joke is slightly over-the-top, a bit like his whole presenting style and the show itself. The Price Is Right, but the show is so wrong.
