Some people display so much courage and bravery that it makes concerns over money and petty little things seem inconsequential by comparison. Take Gabrielle Giffords as an example.
Just seven months ago, Gabrielle Giffords was shot in the head by a would-be assassin who wanted her dead. And she very nearly did die, as well.
But instead of giving in and giving up, she not only survived but has since flourished. And she managed to return to Washington on Monday (July 1) to cast her vote in the debt limit deal.
It’s no wonder she received a standing ovation from Congress, and not just from her fellow Democrats either. Giffords has shown true resilience in bouncing back so quickly; I know I couldn’t have coped so well under similar circumstances.
