I find it a little scary what is happening in the U.S. at the moment, because the extreme people on both sides appear to be winning, with the huge number of people who inhabit the middle-ground seemingly powerless to stop the madness.
What happened to compromise, to working together, to bringing people together from all sides of he political spectrum to work together? That seems to have been lost as people have strengthened their positions.
Parts of the media really aren’t helping, and nor are some of the politicians on both sides trying to make a name for themselves. And the results can be tragic, as seen by the events we saw go down yesterday.
It’s time to stop the madness, surely.
