Game of Thrones fans are at the edge of their seats not knowing what to expect from the next installment of the series. The HBO hit is the center of many rumors as of late, with Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays Jaime Lannister, confirming that most of the leaks are real.
The series, set for a July 16 return, features Nikolaj as the Kingslayer.
He was pressed to discuss who he would want to kill his character on the show, stating, “I don’t want Jaime to die. I want him to just slowly fade away. Just old age.”
Leaks, which have proven to be utterly false and surprisingly true in recent seasons, are a major part of the show. “What’s interesting, though, is every year there are huge spoilers online where people find out real stuff and they will post it,” he states.
The actor is also the center of speculation for fans giving his sister Cersei Lannister an evil look to close the final episode of Season 6. Fans believe that Jamie, who killed the Mad King, will also kill his sister, who is heavily viewed as the Mad Queen after the final episode of the show last season.
He says he knows what will happen, but will not let fans in on the secret.
Cersei ended the season with a startling explosion that killed a lot of her enemies and a few of her loved ones, too.
When asked about the relationship between Brienne of Tarth and Tormund, he states “I don’t think he’s jealous,” when speaking of his character. The budding romance, or at least awkward stares from Tormund, have been a fan favorite, with many memes being made as a result.

He said that the seventh season of the show is going to be epic and that the cast all worked very hard to bring the best show possible to fans.
