Some of the people who appear on The X-Factor just cannot sing. At all. And never will be able to. Others, meanwhile, have the raw talent but need to be shown how to bring it to the fore.
Step forward Gamu Nhengu.
Gamu was one of the people whose audition was seen on the first week of the show. And it was auto-tuned to try and make it sound better. Even so I still wasn’t at all impressed.
However, Gamu made it through to bootcamp and just look at what happened when she gave her final performance at this stage of the competition. She was brilliant, and even made Louis cry.
I have no doubts Gamu will make it through to the live final, wouldn’t be surprised if she ended up winning the whole thing. And she won’t need autotune to do so.
