Genius Ferris Vs. Ferris Video | Classic Movie and New Super Bowl Ad Shown Side By Side

25 sec read

One of the best Super Bowl ads this year was Matthew Broderick’s Day Off, a spin on the classic Ferris Bueller’s Day Off movie from 1986. But how do the two compare?

One video editor spent rather too long putting the new ad for the Honda CR-V next to the movie and comparing them shot-for-shot, side-by-side. And the result is fascinating.

This shows the lengths Honda and the advertising firm it hired went to to ensure the ad was accurate and memorable. It doesn’t quite make me want to buy a new car, but it does make me want to watch Ferris Bueller’s Day Off again.

Was this your favorite Super Bowl ad or was there one you preferred watching more?
