Nina Conti is a fantastic ventriloquist who, unlike the vastly overrated Jeff Dunham, doesn’t rely on racial stereotype and cheap gimmicks to please an audience.
This is her demonstrating human puppetry, taking a member of the audience and turning them into the ventriloquist’s dummy.
It doesn’t quite go according to plan, with the guy dragged on stage clearly not all that keen to play along. Eventually, however, he decides to let loose and dance like he’s never danced before.
If only more ventriloquists were this talented and creative then I wouldn’t hate the act so much. As it is I’m happy to watch Nina Conti do her thing.
