Many of us love going to theme parks and riding roller coasters. Usually, the bigger, longer, and more frightening the better. However, not quite so many people would be keen to race down one on in-line roller skates.
In fact, it’s probably just this guy.
The guy mad enough to want to skate down a roller coaster is Dirk Auer, a 36-year-old German. He attempted his stunt, which looks both ultra-scary and dangerous, at the Trips Drill theme park in Stuttgart.
Auer spent months planning the stunt, even designing the special skates needed. In the end, Auer skated the 860-meter-long track in just over a minute, reaching speeds of 90kph as he went.
He described it as “fun” but then this is the same man who reached a speed of 307kph while being dragged behind a Porsche GT2 on his skates. He clearly has a screw loose, unlike the roller coaster which thankfully didn’t.
