Ghost Recon Future Soldier is a game that’s due out on PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii this fall. But prior to that, there will be a 20-minute live-action short film released, of which this is the trailer.
It essentially brings the game to life, showing some of the characters involved, the technology used, and the gameplay mechanics. So there is personal cloaking, backpack missiles, and a strange droid-like tank to give support to the soldiers. Which is all very impressive.
The Ghost Recon Future Soldier film, made by Oscar-winning duo Francois Alaux and Herve de Crecy, is due out at Christmas, and acts as a prequel of sorts.
But before that will be the multiplayer beta this summer, available to people who purchase Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction for the Xbox 360 from April 16. Which, judging by this video, has to be worth getting in to.
