I’m sure we all remember the scene from the first Ghostbusters film where a ghost starts haunting the New York Public Library. If you don’t, then this video will probably go right over your head. But the rest of us can enjoy a great spoof improvisation.
Improv Everywhere are a group of performance artists based in New York. They have been pulling pranks like this one since their formation in 2001, and have gained huge popularity thanks to YouTube.
Their most famous video is ‘Frozen Grand Central‘, which show 200 people freezing in place for five full minutes. But this one is also a gem.
I like the fact that no one gets upset, kicks off, or asks them to leave. Instead, the ‘ghosts’ are allowed to sit down and fire up their laptops, before the ‘Ghostbusters’ come in, chase them around for a bit, and then leave.
I just wish I’d been in there at the time.
