Those lucky enough to be professional cartoonists with a name and a reputation really don’t appreciate the set-piece program that is GoAnimate. Well, one of them, at least. Nice.
For those who don’t know, GoAnimate is an animation program which offers some locations, characters, and voices for free, with others available to purchase. It’s now part of YouTube Create, which I reviewed on WebTVWire a while ago.
While this animation makes a good point, one I cannot really argue against, not all of us can afford professional programs, and not all of us are talented enough to create CG animations from scratch. Which means GoAnimate fills a void.
GoAnimate is never going to replace professional programs or put professional cartoonists out of their jobs. So they should stop bitching and let us get on with it. Thanks.
