Google Music is here, finally, coming out of the beta testing phase it has been in since May. And Google has made many improvements in that time while still keeping it free for all… in the U.S.
Google Music offers two main components: 1. Up to 20,000 songs stored in the cloud for access from all Android devices. 2. A music marketplace where individual tracks can be bought for as little as 99 cents.
There are also a few added features: free downloads offered on a daily basis, exclusive EPs and concert albums, and the ability to share bought music with those who you have circled in Google Plus.
Finally, there is a workaround for those outside the U.S., something about proxy servers, but you didn’t hear it from me. All in all a pretty sweet deal. Especially as it’s free.
