Google finally unveiled its first Nexus-branded tablet at the Google I/O developers conference yesterday. This video shows one of the first hands-on reviews of the nexus 7.
The Apple iPad is about to get some serious competition, with the previously announced Microsoft Surface and now the Nexus 7 set to enter the market over the coming months.
The Nexus 7 is a 7-inch tablet powered by a quad-core Tegra 3 processor, 1GB of RAM, and Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). The 8GB model costs $199, the 16GB model costs $249.
This kills the Kindle Fire dead, although Amazon will likely release a new version of its tablet soon. The big question is whether this will compete with the iPad. At that price I think Apple should be at least a little concerned.
