The new trend is for green smoothies. Rather than the all fruit varieties, these are smoothies which blend (quite literally) green vegetables with fruit. The leafy veg is what you’re after, the fruit being added in order to make the drink a lot more palatable.
All you need is a powerful blender, a selection of fruits and vegetables, and a desire to experiment. Green smoothies take a little getting used to but it’s worth it if it saves having to chomp on lettuce leaves for the whole day.
