Griselda Blanco, a 69-year-old woman referred to by some as the ‘Cocaine Godmother’ has been killed in Medellin, Columbia.
This video shows the CNN news report of the murder, which also details Blanco’s history. Blanco was shot twice in the head outside a butcher’s shop by a man riding a motorcycle.
Blanco is alleged to have been a serious criminal through part of her life, working her way up from picking pockets and selling weed to smuggling coke and ordering assassinations.
The life and times of the Cocaine Godmother have already been detailed in documentaries, but there is now talk of a movie biopic also being made.
