‘Carbon’ and ‘footprint’ are the two new buzzwords amongst proprietors of environmentally friendly living, but the majority of the world just isn’t taking notice.
With the popularity of reality television established, HealthiNation hopes that a sprinkling of the good stuff on top of the pressing subject will help ordinary people pay a little bit more attention.
The site has just launched Project Green, a documentary that follows the life of an ‘average’ American (SUV-driving, meat-eating smoker) as he lives a healthy, carbon neutral lifestyle for 30 days.
Viewers can follow Josh May’s progress on a daily basis as he tackles the task of easing the burden on both his physical self and on the environment around him, and HealthiNation hopes it will encourage others to do the same.
The 3-minute long videos look to be off to a good start: May is an amiable character and the way the show is put together is both entertaining and informative.
Will it convince millions of others to live a green lifestyle? We very much doubt it, but you can’t fault Healthination’s good intentions.
