What better way to commemorate Remembrance Day than bidding a fond farewell to a WWII veteran.
Harold Percival was a veteran of the Second World War who sadly died in a nursing home at the ripe old age of 99 recently.
As Percival had never got married or had children the turnout for his funeral was expected to be extremely low, with just a handful of mourners in attendance.
Cue an appeal on social networks for people to turn up and give the guy a fitting and proper send-off; a request which led to hundreds of people attending his funeral on Remembrance Day (AKA as Veterans Day).
This video shows some of the people who attended the funeral of Harold Percival, which included some soldiers on leave from their duties in Afghanistan.
