The Notorious MSG have been around for years in the local NYC music scene. To make a long story short, they’re three guys from Chinatown Chinese restaurants who parody their racial stereotypes through gangsta rap music.
So much so, in fact, that many people often mistake their alter egos for their real personalities.
Since the group was signed to Cordless Recordings (a division of Warner Music Group) in 2007, their fanbase has expanded on a national scale. In fact, rumor has it that the trio is currently developing a show for Comedy Central.
If The Notorious MSG grows to be as big as The Lonely Island, I wouldn’t be surprised. Not only can they make some catchy music and entertain, but they influence their community positively. The true stories of the band members may never be known, and to be honest, I could care less.
These guys can really “Wok The Party.”
