Django Unchained is no ordinary movie. It’s a movie with real-life consequences. Once you see it, you’ll feel guilty for something you have no reason to feel guilty for. This is Django guilt.
Django guilt is essentially white people feeling guilty over what happened to black people a long time ago, as depicted in Django Unchained. It’s not real, of course, but the concept makes for one hell of a funny comedy skit.
Thankfully the symptoms of Django guilt don’t last long. After a couple of weeks everything reverts back to normal. At least until another, similar movie is released. Enjoy the guilt-free break while you can.
Tarantino himself is the biggest sufferer of the condition. Which is why he made the movie in the first place.
