This video is an oldie but a goodie, and I’m guessing there will be lots of people who haven’t yet seen it. Think Eric Clapton is one of, if not the, best guitarists in the world? Then think again. He sucks!
Eric Clapton is one of those naturally-gifted individuals who looks and sounds like he was created just to play the guitar. When you see him perform the guitar looks like it has become part of him, literally melded to his body.
Until, that is, someone dubs over footage of Clapton doing his thing with a recording of someone playing the guitar very, very badly.
Every note is just off key, every attempt at creating a gorgeous sound not quite working. It isn’t even limited to Clapton’s guitar-playing, with the drums and saxophone also affected. Awesome.
