Today is May 4th, which means just one thing in the world for geeks and nerds. It’s Star Wars Day! Why? Because “May the 4th be with you” is a clever little play on words for “May the Force be with you.” Clever, huh!
That is literally the only reason why May the 4th was chosen as the day to celebrate all things related to Star Wars. The first film was actually released later in the month.
People celebrate Star Wars Day in a number of different ways, the most obvious being watching all of the Star Wars movies back-to-back. I’ll probably manage one, but haven’t got time for all six. Sadly.
