History Of St. Patrick’s Day Video | Why We’re All Irish (& Drunk) For One Day A Year

38 sec read

Today is St. Patrick’s Day, so have a good one, and don’t forget the Guinness. Before you go to the pub and celebrate, find out the history of St. Patrick’s Day. After all, don’t you want to know why you pretend to be Irish for one day of the year?

St. Patrick’s Day is a strange one because it seems to bring everyone together, no matter the country they live in, religion they follow, or color of their skin. So long as you can handle your drink, you’re welcome to celebrate.

This video reveals that the person whose life we celebrate today wasn’t actually Irish at all, but Welsh instead. And his name was Maywin. Which is all pretty funny when you think about it. So we’re really celebrating being Welsh and St. Maywin’s Day today. Oh, and the positive aspects of kidnapping of course.

Enjoy yourself this St. Patrick’s Day, and remember that Guinness can have a funny effect on your bowels if drunk to extreme. You may want to warn anyone you live with tomorrow morning.
