Futureproof left The X Factor last Saturday, as they were voted off the show by the judges, but also joining them in the bottom two were Hope, the other solo artist collective group in the competition.
Whether the judges, and particularly Simon Cowell, made the right call is up for debate, but there’s no doubt that Hope have talent, and also a wider appeal than their boyband rivals.
This video shows them performing Hanky Panky on the third live show, and while their performance is good, they did seem to be lacking a bit of enthusiasm. Maybe my mind was just focussing on the wrong things.
One thing I do think that could let them down is their distinct similarity to Girls Aloud, I mean they are virtually carbon copies, and how many Cheryl Tweedys do we actually need in the world?
I think Hope have got a very good chance of winning The X Factor this year, with Niki Evans their biggest rival. It would be an amazing story after they only became a group a few weeks before the live shows started.
