Being British and all that, the U.S. national anthem really doesn’t do anything for me. But even I don’t want to see and hear it murdered in this way. Make it stop!
This is The Fray performing The Star-Spangled Banner before the 2012 NCAA March Madness Championship. The arrangement sucks, the singing blows, and what is with that horrible, out-of-tune note?
I actually saw The Fray live once. They were supporting, of course; I wouldn’t be stupid enough to pay to see these cretins sing. They weren’t all that bad back then so I have no idea what went wrong.
Actually, I do. The Fray thought they would so their own unique take on the U.S. national anthem. Unfortunately it sounded absolutely awful. Enough said.
