Here’s an “April Fools” joke from this year that only just recently came to my attention. This video (and accompanying website) is so convincing that it had me fooled instantly. But, as I later came to find out, the Hotelicopter is actually real!
Starting April 8th, the world will finally have it’s first flying hotel.
Dismissed by many as simply a joke, the Hotelicopter was announced to be “real” and “launching April 8th” on the company’s official Twitter page. I’m thrilled by this very venture, not because I want to book a room (I don’t have that kind of money), but because of the mere potential.
It wasn’t that long ago that cruises and air travel were reserved for the super-elite. Give it 20 years time and I’m sure a similar Hotelicopter will be available for the middle class.
