I absolutely hate the idea of getting trapped in an elevator. It would be a nightmare, and I’m not sure how long I could survive before going insane.
Nicholas White is one man who has lived through the ordeal and emerged to tell the tale. Not that we need him to tell us what happened, because a camera fitted inside his elevator can shows us instead.
White got stuck inside an elevator in New York City’s McGraw-Hill building for a total of 41 hours. Which sounds like absolute torture.
The video footage shows him coping with his accidental imprisonment remarkably well, and he even manages to get some sleep. The only time he seems to go a little mad is at the end when he’s eager for the doors to open.
