Anacondas, especially ones found in the Amazon, are the biggest snakes in the world. While they carry no venom, it’s important to remember than their sheer size and constricting strength is enough to overpower much larger creatures– even humans.

You’d think that the first thing to do when getting bit by a snake like this would be to quickly pull your hand away. On the contrary, because of the hook-like fangs an Anaconda has, doing so would inflict even more damage.

I don’t know about you, but I could live with a small swelling and a few cuts. Losing a finger, on the other hand, just isn’t my cup of tea.
