I’m not too sure what’s going here if I’m honest. This video shows you how to shoot an anvil 200 feet into the air. The question I have to ask, as someone who values a little bit of common sense, is why would you want to? Seriously!
The guy in the video, demonstrating and explaining how to fire the anvil, is listed as a world champion at doing so. Wait, what? There’s a championship for it? Is it like the World Series of baseball where only Americans compete?
The method is simple enough – you pack gunpowder into the bottom of the anvil and then blow it up. I’m a man but I cannot see the appeal. Maybe because I’m British and we’re not obsessed with guns and explosives.
The other thing I wondered watching this was how dangerous it is? That anvil is a heavy and potentially deadly lump of metal which would kill anyone standing underneath it when it falls. God forbid it get fired at an angle.
