Hurricane Katrina Home Video Footage | Flood Takes Over House In Minutes

31 sec read

August 29, 2005, here we are now 2 years from this notorious hurricane and out comes this raw, home video footage of the Guerra family enduring the worst parts of the hurricane after the flooding began.

In a short 3 minutes, their entire house and neighborhood is taken over by the rising waters. I feel so badly for the dog, as we all know what their fate was!

Yes, I would say it was a bad decision to stay at your home with they ordered an evacuation of the entire city! Just imagine looking out the hole in your roof and seeing a car parked there.

This footage gives us a rare peek at how it went down when the eye of the storm was turned on to Lower Garden District, taking everything in its path. Two years later, many, if not most, areas are still waiting for their rescue.
