Google has unveiled both the new Galaxy Nexus handset and Android 4.0, otherwise known as Ice Cream Sandwich. Both look fantastic. I want. Now.
With Apple unleashing the iPhone 4S onto the world last week, all eyes were on Google to pull something spectacular out of the bag. And I think they have managed it with Ice Cream Sandwich.
This video shows the Galaxy Nexus in detail, a big part of which is Android 4.0. This is the first handset to be powered by Ice Cream Sandwich, which is replacing both Honeycomb (for tablets) and Gingerbread (for smartphones).
Everything has been updated and improved, from the core apps to the fonts, and everything in between. The only thing missing is a personal assistant in the style of Siri, but there’s always Vlingo.
