Ah, humans. Aren’t we great? No, not really. I mean, some of us are OK, but as a species we’re pretty shitty to each other, to the rest of the animal kingdom, and to the planet we live on.
This video is proof of our idiocy, as it shows engineers blowing up the Condit Dam in Washington. It’s an impressive sight, sure, but what about the consequences?
OK, so the river shouldn’t have been dammed in the first place, as that is artificially messing with nature. But to fix the problem in this way is ludicrous.
What about the fish living peacefully above the dam? Or the wildlife living below it? Their lives have quite literally been thrown into turmoil because of this.
