I’ve cannot claim to be a man’s man. Maybe it’s because I was brought up in a matriarchy under Margaret Thatcher in 1980s Britain. But whatever the reason, it means activities such as this are likely never to be on my to-do list.
Which is a shame because catching a fish with your bare hands while ice fishing through a hole is just about the coolest thing I can think of. And when someone videos it and sticks on the Web your fame is forever.
The story goes that the fish just weren’t biting for these guys while they used traditional fishing equipment. So rather than go home empty-handed one of them decided to try and catch one with his bare hands.
And he manages it, rather inconceivably.
I want to shake this guy by the hand for catching a fish in this way. But only after he’s washed it thoroughly. See, I told you, I’m a grade-A wuss.
