Omar Sharif was a legendary actor who shot to fame in Lawrence of Arabia, augmented his notoriety in Doctor Zhivago, and then caused controversy with Funny Girl.
Google has paid tribute to Sharif by way of a Google Doodle on its homepage, so why not watch a short documentary about Omar instead.
Omar Sharif began his acting career in Egypt in 1954. David Lean then cast him in Lawrence of Arabia, which made him a star in Hollywood as well.
Sharif was nominated for an Oscar and won several Golden Globes. Unfortunately, his career petered out, and he died from a cardiac arrest in 2015.
