While hardcore gamers may have all their attention focused on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, recently revealed at E3 2013, casual gamers may be more interested in Ouya.
Ouya is an open-source games console based on Android that costs just $99. This video shows SoldierKnowsBest reviewing the Ouya, talking about the hardware, the controller, the games, and some additional things you can do with the package.
Even if you’re not into indie games, Ouya offers the chance to install emulators and ROMs enabling you to play retro games from yesteryear. Add in XBMC for media streaming, and it becomes a much more attractive purchase.
Ouya could be the key to disrupting the gaming industry and breaking the monopoly of Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft. But only time will tell whether it lives up to the hype.
