These days it seems women in the Western world can do pretty much anything they please. They can have any career they want, they can buy land, they can vote, and they generally hold their own. But it wasn’t always this way, as this short documentary from UN Women Australia reminds us.
This is an insightful documentary which takes us through the history of International Women’s Day, and the struggles women around the world have faced since its inception.
It also reminds us that while it might often seem like it, the fight isn’t won. It reminds us of the challenges women still face on their journey to true equality.
