This video shows a guy using a rather strange new concept bike… one in which the rider sits under the frame and scoots along rather than turns pedals.
The Fliz is a new bike from German designers that has the rider hanging from the frame using a harness. They then run along to build momentum before lifting their feet up off the ground.
This design has been mocked and derided as the worst bike of all time, but that’s unfair. This is meant to be an alternative means of transport in urban areas, possibly for people who cannot ride a normal bicycle for whatever reason.
I don’t think I’d ever buy one of these, but I’d certainly like to give one a go. I would just be sure to choose a flat piece of land rather than one with steep hills.
