Another series of Australia’s Got Talent has kicked off and already we’re seeing some potential stars. The first to wow us is Jack Vidgen, a 14-year-old singer with talent beyond his years.
Jack didn’t play it safe in his audition, taking on one of the world’s vocal heavyweight, Whitney Houston. Given Whitney’s recent performances, these days he could probably shame her with his rendition of “I Have Nothing.”
This kid has vocal chops, but there’s also a real sincerity to his performance. I don’t expect a 14-year-old to have ever really fallen or love or experienced true heartbreak, but he made me believe he’d felt it all with this.
Jack is definitely one to watch during this TV talent competition.
