Film technology is progressing at a rapid rate. No sooner had we embraced regular DVDs than Blu-Ray arrived on the scene. Suddenly dipping back into the vault didn’t have quite the same luster as audiences craved crisper sound and sharper images.
Steven Spielberg and his crew are looking to meet this demand with a newly restored version of the director’s scary shark tale, Jaws.
This video takes us behind the scenes of that laborious process. It’s really interesting, although at more than eight minutes casual observers might find watching this clip just as laborious. I urge you to have patience, because this is really fascinating stuff.
