I despise religious indoctrination and brainwashing, which is unfortunately what the vast majority of religious parents inflict on their children. Whatever happened to letting kids make up their own minds?
This behavior, of teaching offspring that only one religion is correct, transcends faiths, so I’m not picking on any one religion in particular. However, this video shows a really fine example of brainwashing gone wrong.
‘Jesus Loves You’ is a fine message to teach children – what’s wrong with them knowing that an Arabic man who lived 2,000 years is watching over them, protecting them, and sharing his love with them. If he was still alive he’d be branded a pervert but he’s not, so it’s OK.
The problem with this video is the politically incorrect way it portrays racial stereotypes, with Chinese people, Native Americans, African Americans, Mexicans, and even white people liable to get offended.
Jesus may love us all but I’m not sure he’d be so keen on Chinese people being labeled as “yellow.”
