If you haven’t noticed in the past month, there have been a number of federal crackdowns on marijuana dispensaries and activists. This comes as a major surprise as most voters (including me) voted for Obama because he was going to do the opposite.
In 2008, while addressing his stance on marijuana prohibition he said, “I’m not going to be using Justice Department resources to try to circumvent state laws.” Hat’s off to Jimmy Kimmel for having the balls to call him out!
The funniest part of this has to be when he asks the audience who hasn’t smoked pot before- only a few hands are raised at all. For those who don’t know, the prop 19 backer and Oaksterdam founder Richard Lee was in the news earlier this month:
