Jody McIntyre BBC Interview Video | Police Drag Disabled Protester Out Of Wheelchair

28 sec read

This video shows a BBC News interview with Jody McIntyre, a disabled cerebral palsy sufferer who was dragged out of his wheelchair by police during the recent student protests.

The interviewer, Ben Brown, clearly sides with the police and doesn’t hide his bias at all well. And he asks McIntyre some preposterous questions that suggest he doesn’t believe a word he’s saying.

I actually have some sympathy for the police when faced with large-scale demonstrations like this one. It’s not a job I’d like to do myself, and it is, after all, their job to keep the peace.

However, I have more sympathy for Jody McIntyre and the other protesters who got hurt while exercising their right to protest. Most of them were doing so entirely peacefully, with a minority ruining it for everyone.
