Glenn Beck is leaving Fox News! Hooray. I think it’s time to party. Are you with me? Unfortunately he’ll likely remain on our screens for some time, though hopefully not on such a regular basis.
I cannot express how much I hate Glenn Beck. And I use that word so rarely, especially in relation to a fellow human being, that you know it’s a deep-seated emotional reaction to a man whose very appearance I cannot abide.
Which makes the news that Beck is losing his show on Fox News very pleasing. He claims to be doing what he wants, and actually that he never wanted the job in the first place. But I can’t help thinking the falling ratings and disappearing advertisers have something to do with it.
Glenn Beck’s speech about his departure is one of the funniest things I have ever seen, even funnier perhaps than the video embedded above which shows Jon Stewart ridiculing Beck, his presenting style, and the shit he comes out with.
