Days ago when Kanye West finally released his 4-year old video for “Spaceship” off his College Dropout album, I was hoping that yeezy had more up his sleeve.
From the looks of it, I was hoping right.
This video hasn’t been unreleased for a couple of years now, but it’s still new to me. While his video for “Spaceship” felt a bit dated this one feels just right. It’s just a shame that Kanye’s record company didn’t get the same feeling.
Concerning the video, Mr. West released this statement: “This video never got played because I refused to remove the titles on it. They said people will think a TV show is going off and I said that’s the whole point.”
Thanks to the power of the internet, rich men in suits are finally losing the control of art we see from musicians. And that, of course, is a good thing.
