Kanye West Unreleased “Spaceship” Music Video | Off 2004’s The College Dropout Album

Recently Kanye West posted this message along with the release of his 4-year old music video for his rap song “Spaceship” featuring Consequence and GLC:

“I directed this video…but I wasn’t satisfied with it so I never released it. But now looking back at it I like it.”

The video may not live up to the song and is a bit dated (good lord those effects are embarrassing), but I’ve seen worse on MTV. At a time when most music videos are shot with a $1000 budget and a green screen, the concept is refreshing.

Any fan can tell you that “Spaceship” remains one of the best tracks on The College Dropout, so it would only make sense that it would be released…even if it’s 4 years too late.

This makes me wonder, does Kanye have anything else up his sleeve?
